Step 1: Get Started<\/strong><\/p>\n

Login into Magento Admin Panel and select the Catalog from left hand side menu. Then click on Product.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Choose the Product type<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now click on Add Product button and select Group Product form dropdown list.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Fill the required Fields<\/strong><\/p>\n

Attribute Set<\/strong>: In the Attribute Set section, you can select the Attribute Set for the product. Magento provides default Attribute Set. Also you can create Attribute Set by yourself.<\/p>\n

Product Name<\/strong>: Enter the product name you want.<\/p>\n

SKU<\/strong>: Add SKU for the product. By default, the system will auto-fill SKU the same as Product Name.<\/p>\n

Quantity<\/strong>: Add the quantity of the product.<\/p>\n

Category<\/strong>: Select the categories for the product in the drop-down list or you can also create New Category.<\/p>\n

Step 4: Add Content<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the Content tab you can add product description here.<\/p>\n

Step 5: Add Grouped Product<\/strong><\/p>\n

To add Grouped Products, Click on Add Group Products Button.<\/p>\n

Select product that you want to sell in Group. Then click on “Add Selected Product” button.<\/p>\n

You see the product in grouped list.<\/p>\n

Step 6: Add Images and Videos<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can add product images and video here.<\/p>\n

When you click on images, images opens and you setup more image details here.<\/p>\n

Alt Text<\/strong>: Alter text is an alternative text to image. Alt tags will be displayed in place of an image if an image file cannot be loaded. Add you product Alter text here.<\/p>\n

Role<\/strong>: It is a image role, see following<\/p>\n

Base<\/strong>: Main image on the product detail page.<\/p>\n

Small<\/strong>: It is Used for the product images in listings on category and search results pages, Up-sells, Cross-sells, and the New Products List.<\/p>\n

Thumbnail<\/strong>: Appear in the thumbnail gallery, shopping cart, and in some blocks such as Related Items.<\/p>\n

Swatch<\/strong>: Used to illustrate the color, pattern, or texture.<\/p>\n

Step 7: Search Engine Optimization<\/strong><\/p>\n

URL Key<\/strong>: The default URL Key is based on the product name. You can also change URL if you want.<\/p>\n

Meta Title<\/strong>: The text that appears at the top of the browser tab. You can use the default, which is based on the Product Name, or you can also change it.<\/p>\n

Meta Keywords<\/strong>: Add the high value keyword to gain more product visibility in search engine.<\/p>\n

Meta Description<\/strong>: The text that appears in search results listings. Enter a product description that is between 150-160 characters in length.<\/p>\n

Step 8: Related Products, Up-Sells, and Cross-Sells<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can easily add related product, Up-sells and Cross-sells products from here.<\/p>\n

Related Products<\/strong>: Related products are shown to customers in addition to the item the customer is looking at.<\/p>\n

Up-Sell Products<\/strong>: An up-sell item is offered to the customer as a pricier or higher-quality alternative to the product the customer is looking at.<\/p>\n

Cross-Sell Products: <\/strong>These “impulse-buy” products appear next to the shopping cart as cross-sells to the items already in the shopping cart.<\/p>\n

Step 9: Product In Websites<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here, You will choose the websites, store views in which the product will be available.<\/p>\n
