To install the module follow the instructions below:

Prepare Installation

We recommend you to duplicate your live store on a development store and try installation on it in advance.

Backup PrestaShop files and the store database.

Disable all cache related section that you have in your PrestaShop.

Module Installation

1. Download module package (ht_fbchat.zip) from your my account page

2. Go to the Back-Office: Module manager > Upload a module.

3. Drop the zip file or click on select file.

4. Go ahead wait for PrestaShop to complete the installation process. After a few seconds, that Configure button will be show.

5. Click on Configure button, and you will get configuration page for Facebook Live Chat.

Set the configuration options in the Configuration Page.

Facebook Live Chat Configuration

These are the configuration that affect google custom search accessibility, control layout and other functional aspects.

  • Enable Facebook Chat: Switch Yes/No to Enable/Disable it.
  • Page ID: Enter the Facebook Page ID.
  • Theme Color: Set the theme color for the Facebook chat window
  • Chat Minimized: Switch Yes/No for Minimized/Maximized chat window
  • Logged in Greeting Message: The greeting text that will be displayed if the user is currently logged in to Facebook. Maximum 80 characters.
  • Logged out Greeting Message: The greeting text that will be displayed if the user is currently not logged in to Facebook. Maximum 80 characters.
  • Now, Click the "Save" button.
Now the general options for Facebook Live Chat are configured.

Please Note:

Please don't forget to add the domain in white list on Facebook messenger. In your Facebook Page go to Settings > Messenger Platform > White-listed domains and add your Domains.
